This is not a time to let fear overwhelm you, even though we’re all living with a certain amount of anxiety for a while. That’s why I spend daily time with God. He provides inner abundance: peace, power, love, kindness, patience, self control, faithfulness, goodness, kindness and so much more, Amen?!
I’m making sure to keep spiritually fit. I listen to my devotional music, scriptural contemplations and spend daily time with God. I’m seeking God’s wisdom and creativity.
We need to focus on our health and how to make our body’s immune system strong. Our immune system guards against bacteria, viruses, parasites, toxins and cancer cells. If properly cared for, our bodies are capable of enduring viral infections. If you have pre-existing health complications, your body is capable of healing itself.
This is the exciting part. Scientific studies and the Bible come together to give us the answers.
Scientists finally agree, there have been enough studies on health to prove that we must eat plants, crops from the earth and fruits!
The Bible says in Genesis 1:29, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the surface of all the earth and every tree which has fruit yielding seed; it shall be food for you.”
Our immune system is naturally anti-viral. It constantly seeks invasions of foreign substances. When it can’t keep up because it lacks what it needs to be strong, it can result in weakness.
Science has shown plants and fruits (fresh or frozen) are especially good for the immune system. God knew what to provide to keep the body healthy and strong!
Genesis 9:3 says, “Everything that lives and moves about will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything.”
After the flood, God gave the green light to eat animals. The problem now is that our animals are not eating the green plants, they are not moving and they are stressed. Animals, unless we have our own, are being fed antibiotics, hormones and are in crowded factories which encourage the spread of the bacteria and viruses. So sad.
You can begin to help your immune system and the planet by choosing more plants, legumes, nuts, seeds and fruits over animal foods including dairy products.
